My story
Born in the '90s in White Rock, I'm the youngest of three, with two older brothers who reluctantly attended my many choir shows, dance recitals, and theatre performances. More willingly, they indulged in my baked creations. My early introduction to baking was thanks to my mum, likely due to our British heritage.
I developed a passion for baking, especially crafting birthday cakes. I feel there is something magical about celebrating the lives of others, celebrating with food, singing, lighting a bunch of things on fire and making wishes. All at once.
Though I initially dreamt of becoming a triple-threat superstar, I ended up earning a marketing degree, (same same right?). After trying various jobs that didn't quite fit, I finally embraced my passion for baking and enrolled in French pastry school. I said goodbye to my job, completed my training at George Brown, and even spent a semester in France, savoring more croissants and cheese than one person should.
Somewhere along this journey, around 2019, I relocated to Rossland, fell in love with this town (and a boy, ugh), and decided to make it my home. Following my pastry school graduation, I returned to Rossland, where Bakeful gradually came to life. So, here I am—Brie, the creator of Bakeful.
